Abstract
In the past decade, strong light-matter interaction has emerged as an important topic in the field of quantum plasmonics, especially involving strong coupling between surface plasmon polaritons and emitters. Controlling and enhancing surface plasmon launching, propagation, and localization has been one of the key goals in the fields of plasmonics, nanooptics and nanophotonics. In addition, enhancing the electromagnetic field confinement in the gap of metallic nanoantennas is known to noticeably increase the fluorescence rate and quantum yield of emitters placed in the region. However, the diffraction of light limits the optical resolution as well as the localization of electromagnetic fields in confined volumes, which is essential in numerous applications ranging from optical electronics to nanofabrication and sensing devices. In this work, we propose a novel plasmonic structure including ring diffraction gratings with integrated metallic nanoantennas placed in the center.
